We Love to Freeze

That is what we Chicagoans MUST like since we have been having a super long and cold winter. God Bless People’s Energy for keeping my house at a toasty 74 degrees. I love it!(and am paying up the wazoo as well…but TOTALLY worth it!)

But you see…we Lazzari’s LOVE to pay bills…especially medical bills. Matthew has recently cut his eye falling off a chair at Dunkin Donuts and required a trip to the ER for some very expensive glue. Followed the next week by having that crazy croup again. So he is following in his father’s footsteps of meeting his yearly health insurance deductible early out of the gate(but is doing and feeling totally fine now AND got accepted to our 1st choice of pre-schools).

And me…well I like to pay a different kind of bill…a restaurant bill!! That is a WAY better use of our funds. Especially since last week was Restaurant Week in Chicago. Brad and I ate steaks at David Burke’s Primehouse and Ruth’s Chris with all the other meat sinners on Ash Wednesday and a lenten Friday. And it was D-to-the-licious people. A way better way to stimulate the economy than hospital bills.

Brad is doing well. He has a bit of a cold/sinus infection but doesn’t everyone in the 606– zipcode region have one too?

Brad has been busy collecting loose change from his kind coworkers to donate to the Dr. Jessica Altman Research fund. He is very proud to help her to help others. There is info about her fund a few posts below this one.

Hope all your families are well and warm…if not, drop by and you can soak up some of my People’s Energy heat.

I’ll meet my deductible next Wednesday. You have to get it out of the way early to make this insurance business worth it:) Way to go Matt!! Glue, the new improved staple:)

Hey guys. Glad things are somewhat calm. That is probably why Matt had to add some excitment! Kids are the best at that. So you know you’re not alone…Andrew had an appointment at Loyola on Ash Wednesday and we went to olive Garden after because it is his favorite. Needless to say we had meat also. Stay warm!
